Magda C. Rodriguez, Partner
Magda Rodriguez is a member of the firm’s health care practice. She represents health care entities such as hospitals, health systems, ambulatory surgical centers, and physician practices in operational and regulatory matters, civil litigation, and government investigations.
Ms. Rodriguez’s experience in operational matters includes: physician peer reviews; revision of medical staff bylaws, regulations, and protocols; medical staff and ancillary staff issues; and National Practitioner Data Bank (NPBD) requirements. Ms. Rodriguez also provides her clients with a wide array of regulatory guidance involving data privacy requirements and policies; reporting obligations under HIPAA, HITECH, and the Florida Information Protection Act; and compliance with Federal Anti-Kickback Statute and the Stark Law.
In addition, Ms. Rodriguez is part of the firm’s health care litigation team. This team represents health care entities and providers in matters involving: data breaches; balance billing; qui tam suits; discovery disputes to maintain the integrity of confidential and proprietary trade secret information; as well as other commercial and civil disputes involving medical providers.
